Our Uplift Baker event filled the Baker County Fairgrounds venue, showcasing over 35 agencies, organizations and community partners. Service providers from all over Baker County set up tables, handed out giveaways and connected with others at this event. This full day event provided Narcan training, information on the local paramedicine program and information on bridging the gap in the communities. Our keynote speaker Zach Zedar, highlighted ways your congregation and community can embrace recovery and support those struggling with mental health. Resources such as MRT, Isaiah 117 house and even the Alzheimer’s brain bus were in attendance. While this may seem like a rural area with limited resources, this event proved that there is a community with access to services and agencies willing to network, refer and reach out.  The local Coalition and Health Department really showed their support  for their community and the people in it.
