Uplift St Johns was held on May 16th at the Ag Center in St Augustine. Community faith leaders and service providers came together to break bread and discuss the mental health and substance misuse concerns in their community. Pastor Eliut Alicea with Bridge of Life Church was the keynote presenter talking about the Intersection of Faith and Mental Health. His wife also shared about her ministry, Brittany Glisson talked about St Gerard’s Campus and her testimony. We also learned about Narcan and the Mobile Response Team, and had an Adverse Childhood Experiences training from LSF Health Systems. The day was wrapped up with a panel discussion on recovery.
We’re looking forward to future meetings and events with this group.
