Florida Association of Managing Entities Elects LSF Health Systems CEO as President and Chair

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida Association of Managing Entities (FAME) recently elected Dr. Christine Cauffield, CEO of LSF Health Systems, as its president and chair at the organization’s annual meeting in Tallahassee, Fla. Cauffield is now responsible for leading the state’s coalition of seven Managing Entities, which are tasked with providing services to indigent and uninsured Floridians who have mental health and/or substance abuse disorders. State Sen. Darryl Rouson, a champion for behavioral health issues, said Cauffield’s appointment is one that will aid FAME in continuing its vital role as an authority in behavioral health.

“Dr. Cauffield has the passion, expertise and vision necessary for this critical leadership position,” Rouson said. “The work the Managing Entities provide across our state is truly transforming the system of care.”

Cauffield, a Harvard-trained licensed clinical psychologist, has led LSF Health Systems for five years. Her organization is the second-largest Managing Entity in the state of Florida, serving 23 counties in Northeast and North Central Florida through its network of 55 provider organizations. The seven Managing Entities that comprise FAME receive more than $600 million in state and federal funds from the Department of Children and Families (DCF) to deliver behavioral health services through a network of 320 statewide providers.
